SIS Summer School in Futures Studies: data-driven and statistical approaches
The Future SIS group of the Italian Statistical Society offers the Summer School “Futures Studies: Data-Driven & Statistical Approaches”: three days, 14–16 October 2026, at the University of Genoa (Aula Mazzini, via Balbi 5).
The school combines conceptual foundations with applied methodological training across the whole foresight process:
- the difference between forecasting and foresight
- scanning, driver identification and the Delphi method
- clustering Delphi data and fuzzy logic
- scenario development
- communicating results with visual, statistical and AI-supported tools
It is aimed at PhD students, researchers, policy analysts, data scientists and foresight and innovation professionals. Basic knowledge of statistical concepts is required. Fees depend on SIS membership.
